EOH-Assist: An Applied Public Health Experience
EOH-Assist is a student learning program at that allows students to gain applied public health experience by assisting in San Antonio and South Texas with outbreak investigations, disasters, and emergencies, community health and safety assessments, environmental sampling, and other projects to provide surge capacity and expert assistance.
The EOH-Assist activities are open to School of Public Health students on a volunteer basis. Any special requirements provided by the partners who request EOH-Assist support will be provided in the Activity notification. Additional training and educational opportunities involving subject matter experts will be added to the program.
EOH-Assist activities are coordinated by , Assistant Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health at the School of Public Health. Fawkes' past experience includes responding to hazards, executing community environmental risk assessments, and community health surveys.
To register to participate in EOH-Assist and to receive notifications when there are EOH-Assist volunteer opportunities:
