Raghad Said
Ph.D. Student
Research Topic
Raghad is a Ph.D. student in Dr. Kate Lawrenson’s lab at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Center for Inherited Oncogenesis. Her research investigates the role of IL-32, a cytokine with proposed pro-inflammatory properties, in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Despite affecting an estimated 10% of women, endometriosis remains a poorly misunderstood inflammatory disease. By investigating the molecular mechanisms and potential contributions of IL-32 to inflammation and disease progression, Raghad’s research aims to provide new insights into endometriosis pathophysiology and identify potential therapeutic targets.
